Known as the "tea of the Incas" Lapacho is well known in its country of origin as a universal remedy.
The home of the Lapacho tree is in South America, mainly in Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay.
The tea for commercial use is taken from the inner bark of the tree. New tissue grows on this spot causing the older layers to move to the outside giving protection.
The mild cup makes it an ideal beverage for the evening since Lapacho is naturally free of caffeine. It is rich in minerals and vitamins and drunk regularly it helps to strengthen the immune system. Lapacho is rich in iron and therefore a real health drink.
